Apple’s iPhones are a great gadget which is used today by many, many people as both a business and a personal phone but there is something weird about it which really doesn’t make much sense to me.

With the release of the stable version of OS 3.0 for the iPhone, some new features were introduced like push notifications, cut, copy and paste, multi media messaging (MMS), connectivity with other iPhones through WiFi or Bluetooth, a landscape keyboard, voice memos, etc… Notice anything about these new features?! MMS, Bluetooth and voice memos are really state of the art, aren’t they?! A simple answer, NO!

I remember having MMS and voice memos on my first colour screen phone (Siemens MC60), I remember sharing data with Bluetooth with my Sony Ericsson Z600, why couldn’t the iPhone do this before?! What I am trying to say is, Apple is introducing features it should have had since the first version of the iPhone OS on the 1G iPhone! Also, we should be grateful to Apple for introducing the revolutionary, never before seen function they have ingeniously called “shooting video” which has never been seen before on a mobile device, ever!!!

Apple’s weird behaviour aside, I still like the iPhone very much and I will be bying a 3GS in August this year. I know that it is still missing some features which I would be glad to have on my iPhone but it’s still the phone I’d choose.
